Middle East Communications Network (MCN) has appointed former EY and BDO alumnus Zekiye Tümtürk Koray as Chief Finance Officer of its Turkish business.

Coming on board with 20 years of experience in finance, Koray will collaborate closely with MCN’s Turkish leadership team to enhance the robustness of the network’s financial strategy and operations.

MCN is a leading advertising and marketing communications group in MENA, the parent of labels such as FP7McCann, MullenLowe, UM, Magna, Initiative, Kinesso, Momentum, Craft, Weber Shandwick, Jack Morton, Octagon and Current Global. The group has around 2,000 staff across 11 markets, with a large number of its labels also active in Turkey.

“I am excited to work with the talented team in Turkey to execute a clear strategy and build on strong financial footing. I am confident we can develop and execute plans to drive consistent growth by strengthening efficiencies and optimizations to benefit the business,” said Koray, who becomes part of the domestic leadership team further including Mehmet Koyuncuoğlu, Seda Yalçın Ulusoy, and Elifsu Tufan.

Koray joins MCN from BioMérieux, where she was CFO overseeing finance, procurement and pricing teams. Earlier, she managed financial operations, governance, and compliance functions at companies such as BD and Fox International Channels, and had two spells in professional services, with EY and BDO.

“Zekiye is a visionary leader who brings a blend of experience across multi-national brands, for whom she has helped deliver value-added financial models, increased operational visibility and created growth driven solutions. I’m looking forward to her being an integral part of the team and helping further strengthen our efficiencies around compliance, transparency and future facing models,” said Mohamad Haidar, COO of MCN in the Middle East & Turkey.
