Turkish exports to the U.S. reached $13.4 billion in the first 10 months of 2024, reflecting a 9.2% increase in October compared to the same period in 2023.
Exports are expected to surpass $16 billion by year-end, according to Ahmet Gulec, Vice President of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM).
TIM highlighted Türkiye’s efforts to strengthen global trade ties, referencing a recent delegation to Houston, Texas.
Coordinated with the Ministry of Trade, the mission included representatives from 13 companies across 10 sectors, holding over 200 meetings with 120 American firms.
Gulec noted that the U.S. remains Türkiye’s second-largest export market, with $15 billion in exports recorded in 2023.
Despite cost-competitiveness challenges, Türkiye has outperformed expectations in 2024.
Gulec emphasized the U.S.’s significant potential, stating that Turkish exporters will continue to maximize opportunities in this key market.
