Türkiye ranks 2nd globally with 43 firms in international contractors list – Türkiye Today

Türkiye has secured the second position globally with 43 firms in the “ENR Top 250 International Contractors List,” according to a report published by the renowned international construction industry magazine Engineering News-Record (ENR).

Turkish firms generated a total of $18.5 billion in international revenue in 2023, marking another strong year for the country’s construction sector.

According to the Turkish Ministry of Trade, Türkiye’s performance in the 2024 edition of the ENR list places it behind China, which leads with 81 companies, but ahead of major global players such as England, Germany and Japan.

Revenue, global ranking

The report highlights that Turkish contractors accounted for 3.7% of the total revenue generated by the firms on the list.

In terms of overall revenue, Türkiye ranked 8th globally, surpassing several European nations. China continues to dominate the market with $122.9 billion in revenue.

Six Turkish firms managed to enter the top 100, while one firm achieved a place in the top 50 of the global contractors list.

Besides construction, 8 Turkish firms were featured in the “ENR 2024 Top 225 International Design Firms List,” securing a 7th place in the global ranking based on the number of firms.

The ENR 2024 report also highlights the global construction industry’s major growth opportunities, citing large-scale projects and investment plans such as Africa Agenda 2063 and Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 as key drivers of future expansion.
