Minimum wage in Türkiye becomes ₺22,104 ($628), effective from January 1, announces Ministry of Labor.

Meanwhile, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed the new rate, expressing hope that it will benefit the nation. On social media, Erdogan stated, “In 2025, the minimum wage will be applied as ₺22,104 net with an increase of 30 percent. May it be beneficial to our country and nation.”

The current minimum wage is a gross monthly rate of ₺20,00.50 ($567.95), equating to a net figure of ₺17,002 after deductions.

For employers, the total cost per worker is ₺23,502.94, which includes the gross minimum wage, a social security premium of ₺3,100.39, and an unemployment insurance contribution of ₺400.05.
