Turkish central bank reserves reach all-time high exceeding $156B – Türkiye Today

The total reserves of the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) reached an all-time high of $156.39 billion in the week ending Sept. 20, increasing by $2.84 billion compared to the previous week.

The CBRT released its weekly monetary and banking statistics.

According to the data, as of Sept. 20, the Turkish central bank‘s gross foreign exchange reserves rose by $1.95 billion to $94.11 billion. Gross foreign exchange reserves stood at $92.15 billion on Sept. 13.

During the same period, gold reserves increased by $888 million, rising from $61.4 billion to $62.28 billion.

As a result, the central bank’s total reserves rose from $153.55 billion to $156.39 billion, an increase of $2.84 billion in the week ending Sept. 20.
