Turkish Airlines has canceled several flights scheduled for Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 due to an ongoing strike by airport staff in Brussels, the capital of Belgium.
According to a statement released on Sunday, the “TK 1941 Istanbul-Brussels” flight planned for Monday has been canceled, along with multiple flights on Oct. 1.
These include “TK 1942 Brussels-Istanbul,” “TK 1937 Istanbul-Brussels,” “TK 1938 Brussels-Istanbul,” “TK 1939 Istanbul-Brussels,” “TK 1940 Brussels-Istanbul,” “TK 1943 Istanbul-Brussels,” and “TK 1944 Brussels-Istanbul.”
On Oct. 1, Brussels Airport is expected to face major disruptions as all flights will be grounded due to the large-scale union strike.
The protest is expected to affect around 50,000 passengers.
