Delicious food, sunny weather, historic sights and dazzling beaches, Turkey has all the ingredients for a perfect summer holiday.
Research from the travel expert team at Bounce found that the country is set to be one of the UK’s leading destinations in 2024.
But where’s the cheapest destination to fly to in Turkey?
In an exclusive investigation for Express.co.uk, I searched for the cheapest flights to Turkey in July using Skyscanner. Bear in mind that these prices are for flight only so tourists may end up paying more for baggage or seat selection.
From beaches to city breaks, these are the cheapest destinations for a holiday in Turkey.
Dalaman
I found return flights to Dalaman in July for under £100 per person from London and Bristol while there were offers under £150 from Liverpool, Birmingham, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Located on Turkey’s southwestern coast, Dalaman is almost guaranteed to be hot in July. Admire the turtles on Iztutu beach, enjoy a healing mudbath or unwind under the sun.
Dalaman airport is just 6km from the city centre and it’s also just 90km from Marmaris, one of Turkey’s most affordable beach resorts.
Istanbul
I found return flights to Istanbul for £72 from London and under £160 from Manchester, Edinburgh, Belfast and Glasgow. The Turkish city is one of Europe’s best weekend trips.
Wander the Grand Bazaar and search for souvenirs, admire the incredible architecture at the Blue Mosque or check out the views from the Galata Tower.
The city is also one of the country’s best places to eat Turkish food so gorge on kebabs, baklava and don’t miss sampling a huge Turkish breakfast spread.
Bodrum
I found return flights to Bodrum in July for under £150 from London, Manchester, Bristol and Liverpool. Another gem on Turkey’s southwest coast, Bodrum is one of the country’s best beach destinations.
Relax at stunning Yahsi Beach, marvel at Bodrum amphitheatre or check out the nightlife on Bodrum Bar Street. Bodrum’s Museum of Underwater Archaeology has an incredible collection of artefacts.
There are over 60 Blue Flag rated beaches in Bodrum so Britons will be sure to find a secluded spot to enjoy.
