The apex body of football in Turkey, the Turkey Football Federation (TFF) has secured a one-year partnership with Turkish Airlines, the flag carrier of Turkey.

The signing event took place at the Turkish Airlines General Management Centre VIP Meeting Hall, which was attended by TFF President İbrahim Ethem Hacıosmanoğlu, TFF Board of Directors members, Turkish Airlines Board of Directors and Executive Committee President Ahmet Bolat, and other board members.

The one-year collaboration agreement spans the 2024–25 season, with the national teams using Turkish Airlines for overseas travel.

Over the next year, Turkey’s men’s national team will compete in the UEFA Nations League against Wales, Iceland, and Montenegro, a group it is largely predicted to win. Along with this, the unit will also compete in the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers in a yet-to-be-determined group commencing in March 2025.

On the deal, Hacıosmanoğlu said, “Turkish Airlines is an important brand that our country has raised in the world. As the Turkish Football Federation, our goal is to take Turkish football to its rightful place in a fair and just manner by taking Turkish Airlines as an example in order to bring the brand value of Turkish football to the places it deserves. Of course, someone needs to carry us to every part of the world during this process. There will be a World Cup in America in 2026. It is a long distance.

“We can go there with Turkish Airlines. We took over a federation that was in a difficult situation. Just as Turkish Airlines is our pride, the national team is the pride of the Turkish nation. With this sense of responsibility, it is our duty to take Turkish Airlines as an example and carry Turkish football to the place it deserves. I hope Turkish Airlines reaches even greater heights and becomes number 1 in the world.”

Turkish Airlines’ Bolat said, “Our federation, which successfully represents our country in football for both men and women, and the Turkish Airlines, our country’s flag carrier airline brand, has the same goals. To serve our nation, make them proud and contribute to our people based on unification. Just as you are our national federation, just as you wave our flag and represent it all over the world, we, as our country’s flag carrier airline, wave our flag in 130 countries on 6 continents that we fly to. Representing our country unites and brings us together.”
