Time for the October B League of Nations cycle, is it time for the Montenegrin footballers to win the first points, after losing to Iceland and Wales in the first two rounds?

“Brave Falcons” have started preparations for the duels with Turkey and Wales (October 11 and 14), the old problems with injuries are there again, but coach Robert Prosinečki believes that Montenegro can be better than it was.

“We have problems because some players have not yet recovered. We are playing two very important matches, the first is against Turkey, which looked very good at the European Championship. Then Wales too…” Prosinečki said.

The Welsh won 2:1 in Nikšić – it could have been different.

“Apart from those first five minutes, we played well, we came back, we had a lot of chances, we could have won.” Now we have two tough games waiting for us, especially this first one in Samsun. Then in Cardiff, and there we will look for some of our chances and be better if that is possible”, said the Croatian expert.

Turkey is getting better, there are more and more stars in big clubs (Hakan Çalhanoglu is one of the leaders of Inter, Arda Guler is making his mark in Real Madrid, Kenan Jildiz is a top ten player in Juventus)…

“Turkey has shown that it is good, it has players in big clubs. It is certain that the stadium will be full and it will be very interesting. It is certain that these are the most important matches. It’s not good and pleasant after two defeats, but I hope we can make a surprise. It’s a bit against Wales, I believe it will come back to us in the duel with Turkey.

Problems with the composition are a tradition.

“We are not counting on Stefan Savić and Marko Vešović, as well as Viktor Đukanović and Vasilij Adžić. We will see what happens with Marko Janković, because he is very important for us in the midfield. Stevan Jovetić should play the first game in the Omonia jersey, so we will see how he is doing. Igor Vujačić recovered, returned to the field and it is certain that he will compete for the upcoming matches”, Prosinečki pointed out.
