SİPER Product-1 System entered the inventory as an important part of the Turkish defense industry. This system, which offers long-range and high-altitude deterrent air defense power, will act as a shield.
President of Defense Industries Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, in his post on his social media account, said, “The SİPER Product-1 System, the deterrent power of the Steel Dome, has entered the inventory.” Görgün also said, “Our long-range and high-altitude deterrent air defense force, the SİPER Product-1 system, will be the shield of the Sky Homeland at the disposal of our glorious army.”
Air defense capacity is increasing
The SİPER System has the ability to engage air targets such as warplanes and cruise missiles and air-to-surface munitions. In addition, the development of the SİPER Product-2 system, which includes more advanced capabilities, continues. This new system is expected to further strengthen Türkiye’s air defense capabilities.
