The total investments of SOCAR Turkiye Enerji in the Turkish petrochemical complex Petkim’s plants during 2008-2024 amounted to approximately $2 billion, Kanan Mirzoyev, SOCAR Turkiye’s refining and petrochemicals business unit, said at a press conference in Istanbul today.
“On average, SOCAR Turkiye Enerji’s annual investment volume in Petkim petrochemical complex plants was $113 million. Overall, the company’s capital expenditure (CAPEX) for these purposes during 2008-2024 amounted to about $2 billion,” said Mirzoyev.
He noted that in addition to these capital investments, planned overhaul expenses were carried out at Petkim in 2018 and 2022.
