Gerber Park in Coconut Creek {City of Coconut Creek}

Prepare to ruffle some feathers this holiday season as the City of Coconut Creek hosts its first-ever Turkey Bowl Flag Football Tournament.

The single-elimination 5-on-5 event—open to boys and girls aged 10 to 15—will take place on Saturday, November 9, at George S. Gerber Park, located at 4715 Northwest 30th Street.

According to event organizers, the tournament will feature two age divisions: children aged 10 to 12 and children aged 13 to 15. Games will be 12 minutes long with a running clock, and teams must have a minimum of five players and a maximum of seven players to compete.

Registration is open until November 6 or until all spots are filled. Space is limited to six teams per age division.

Pre-registration is mandatory; no teams or individual players will be accepted after the deadline. Players must register as part of a team, and a team captain may pre-register all players on the team roster.

Each participant is asked to donate three canned goods for charity, and waivers signed by a parent or guardian must be submitted by the day of the tournament.

Walk-in registration is available at the Community Center at 1100 Lyons Road and the Recreation Complex at 4455 Sol Press Boulevard.

No online registration will be available for this event. All participants must walk in to register.
