MINISTER TEKİN VISITS THE TURKISH MAARIF FOUNDATION


Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin visited the Turkish Maarif Foundation (TMF) and met with the President of the TMF Birol Akgün, the board of trustees and the board members.

During the meeting, ideas were exchanged on the educational activities of the Turkish Maarif Foundation carried abroad.

 

Attending the meeting of the board of trustees of the TMF foundation, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin said that The Turkish Maarif Foundation is designed to be the face of the Republic of Türkiye abroad in the field of education. Tekin stated that the coordination between the Ministry and the foundation should continue without any interruption.

 

Reminding that he visited provinces and schools, Tekin pointed out that as a Minister, he made his first official visit to the Turkish Maarif Foundation as a stakeholder.

 

Talking about the reasons for the need for the Turkish Maarif Foundation, Minister Tekin underlined that the Maarif case is a case of Türkiye, independent from titles and authorities. Expressing that under the leadership of President Erdoğan, they will manage this process together with the Ministry and the foundation in the Century of Türkiye Tekin said that it is very proud to have a structure in dozens of countries where he was involved in the establishment phase and to hold successful events. Tekin thanked everyone who contributed to this process.

 

President of the Turkish Maarif Foundation Birol Akgün stated that Minister Tekin made a great effort during the establishment of the foundation. Expressing that the Minister Tekin knows best why Türkiye’s Maarif case is needed both inside and outside of the country and how the foundation was established, Akgün thanked Minister Tekin for taking the time to visit the Turkish Maarif Foundation very soon after his appointment. Emphasizing that they have already worked closely with the Ministry of National Education, Akgün stressed that they will work much more efficiently from now on.
