Minister of National Education Nabi Avcı gets together with students, their families and teachers at the awards presentation ceremony of the “Turkey That I Dream About” banner and paintings exhibition held at the MEB Tevfik İleri Conference  Hall.

Speaking at the awards presentation ceremony of the competition organized by the Çözüm Publications said this is a tough business to compete in an arts contest and thanked those who supported the Project and the students who participated in it.

Saying the theme of the competition was well selected Minister Avcı said “the project gives us a chance to see from the perspective of the children many of the beautiful things and visions that may not be described by words.

“Our principle is fewer words more work”

Saying throughout his student hood his paintings teacher Cevat Ülger had influenced him more than anyone else Minister Avı said he is happy to remember his beloved teacher at this occasion. “We now have a principle at the Ministry of National Education: Fewer words and more work. That is why we do not talk much we try to do more work,” Minister Avcı declared.

After the speech Minister Avcı presented the awards to primary school students Elif Balcı, Efe Yıldırım, Buket Baydoğan and secondary school students Remzi Anday Son, Buse Özdemir and İrem Keçeci.

Later the organizers presented the first prize winning paintings of Elif Balcı and Remzi Anday Son to Minister Avcı.
