In what has become an American tradition, the Detroit Lions hosted a Thanksgiving Day matchup. This year the Lions hosted an NFC North rivalry matchup against the Chicago Bears. With Detroit looking primed for a trip to the Super Bowl in New Orleans this year, fans were stoked to see what this year’s game had in store.
Aidan Hutchinson Sports Turkey Hat During Thanksgiving Game
There was one major omission from the Lions’ roster in their matchup with the Bears. That is their star pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson who is out for the season with a leg injury. However, Hutchinson, a Michigan legend was still in attendance for the NFC North showdown. And he did so in style, sporting a turkey hat which was most appropriate for the occasion.

Lions Inquired About Raiders Star Maxx Crosby
The Lions have one of the best records in the NFL at 10-1. But what is even more impressive is that they have put together this season, despite dealing with a slew of injuries to key players.
What’s even scarier is that the Lions nearly made a big addition to their defensive front ahead of the November 5 trade deadline. According to the Detroit Free Press, the Lions made calls about Las Vegas Raiders star pass rusher Maxx Crosby.
“The Lions, one of the Super Bowl favorites in the NFC, have cast a wide net in searching for pass rush help, including calling the Las Vegas Raiders about star defensive end Maxx Crosby, who is not available, a person familiar with the calls told the Free Press,” the Free Press wrote.
“The Lions have been calling around the league looking for help for their injury-riddled defensive line since losing Aidan Hutchinson to a broken leg in their Week 6 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Oct. 13. There is generally considered to be a dearth of good pass rushers around the NFL, available for trade or not, and teams have been reluctant to listen to offers on players the Lions have identified as potential upgrades.”
