Kubra Aykut, Turkish influencer who gained fame by marrying herself dies by suicide

Sologamy fame Turkish influencer Kubra Aykut allegedly committed suicide in Istanbul. She was 26. As per Turkish reports, she fell from the fifth floor of a luxury apartment building in the Sultanbeyli district. She had gained immense popularity with her viral “Wedding without a Groom” videos.
The tragic incident occurred on September 23. The authorities claim that a suicide note was found at the scene.
During the last few days, most of Kubra’s followers were visibly concerned about her posts on social media.These posts had started to appear disturbingly, quite often, few hours before her death, when she posted a haunting letter on her account asserting that she was struggling with weight gain.
“I’ve gathered my energy, but I can’t seem to gain weight. I lose a kilogram every day. I don’t know what to do; I urgently need to gain weight,” she wrote in her final post.
In one of her last viral TikTok videos, before she was found dead, Kubra was seen cleaning up her house.
Since Kubra Aykut had massive popularity on social media. She had garnered one million followers on TikTok and 2,07,000 followers on Instagram mainly, due to her amazing series titled “Wedding without a Groom” which started trending on TikTok in 2023. The wedding of Kubra Aykut was quite interesting because she married herself wearing a tiara, white gown, and other accessories as she proclaimed, “I cannot find a worthy groom for myself.”.
