Istanbul will host the PATA Annual Summit 2025, an event organized by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) and hosted by the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA).
The announcement was made during a recent PATA board meeting in Bangkok, highlighting Istanbul as a significant location for this global travel and tourism event.
Situated on the Bosphorus Strait, Istanbul is famous for its rich history, diverse culture, and iconic architecture, including landmarks like the Hagia Sophia, Dolmabahçe Palace, and the Grand Bazaar. With 56.7 million international visitors in 2023, Türkiye is one of the fastest-growing tourism destinations worldwide, and Istanbul plays a pivotal role in this growth.
PATA CEO expressed enthusiasm about the summit’s location, stating, “I am humbled to take the PATA Annual Summit 2025 to a city that stands on two continents – Asia and Europe, as PATA strives to grow within the Asia Pacific region and globally. This Summit is important for the travel & tourism fraternity to shape a resilient, responsible, and reimagined future in a sustainable manner.” He also appreciated the TGA for hosting the event with support from Turkish Airlines.
The Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency, deeply invested in promoting sustainable tourism, views the PATA Annual Summit as a chance to spotlight Istanbul’s unique blend of culture and growing economy.
