KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WCIA) — Illinois hit the road for a Thanksgiving test and came home with a big win over a ranked Power Four opponent.
The Illini played No. 19 Arkansas, led by head coach John Calipari and featuring Zvonimir Ivisic, at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.
Illinois led 45-39 at halftime thanks in part to four three-pointers from Tomislav Ivisic, who spent much of the game guarding his twin brother on the other side of the ball. He finished the day 6-of-9 from three with 21 points and ten rebounds.
Kasparas Jakucionis led the Illini scoring effort with 23 points. Illinois ended with a 90-77 win over the ranked Razorbacks.
Illinois stays on the road for the first game of Big Ten play, taking on Northwestern on Friday, December 6, before returning to the State Farm Center to play Wisconsin on Tuesday, December 10.
