Thanksgiving is here, offering you a great opportunity to gobble up some turkey – and some pigskin.

Again in 2024 there’s a tripleheader of NFL football coming your way, starting with the Detroit Lions hosting the Chicago Bears at Ford Field. The Lions have an opportunity to clinch a playoff berth this weekend with a win and a bit of help this weekend, while the Bears are trying to end their five-game skid.

In late afternoon slot, it’s a battle of NFC East rivals with a less-appetizing quarterback matchup. The Dallas Cowboys invite the New York Giants to AT&T Stadium as the two teams fight to avoid the basement of the division. Cooper Rush will take snaps for Dallas, while the Giants turn to Drew Lock.

In the dessert spot, the hot Miami Dolphins travel to frigid Lambeau Field, where the temperatures are expected to settle below freezing for the matchup. That could spell disaster for Tua Tagovailoa, who has struggled in cold weather games – or it could prove to be a turkey of an upset for Jordan Love and the Packers in prime time.

Here’s what to know about the Thanksgiving schedule, TV channels and more:

NFL Thanksgiving schedule

There are three games set to kick off on Thanksgiving Day:

The Lions are set to defend home field vs. the Bears on Thanksgiving. The Bears enter riding a five-game losing streak, and are coming off two division losses to the Packers and Vikings. The Lions can clinch a playoff berth with a win and some help this weekend.

It could have been Dak Prescott vs. Daniel Jones in the late afternoon slot, but Prescott will miss the remainder of the season and Jones is now a Viking after his release from the Giants. Instead, the Cowboys will turn to Cooper Rush, while the Giants turn to Drew Lock after an injury to Tommy DeVito.

Dolphins passer Tua Tagovailoa has been red-hot since returning from a concussion earlier this season, throwing 11 touchdowns in five games. The cold weather may be able to cool off the quarterback, though, and the Packers have a lot to play for entering this matchup.
