High-level delegation from three Turkish government departments visits Omoda global headquarters

On December 21, a delegation led by high-ranking officials from three Turkish government departments, namely Mehmet Fatih Kacir, Minister of Industry and Technology, İsmail Hakkı Musa, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to China, Zekeriya Çostu, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology, and Ahmet Burak Dağlıoğlu, Head of the Investment Office of the Presidency, paid a visit to Omoda’s global headquarters in Anhui, China to exchange views and experiences. It was warmly received by Yin Tongyue, Chairman of Chery Group, Zhang Guibing, President of Chery International, and Fenghuo Si, Vice President of Chery International and General Manager of Chery Turkiye Company.

The two sides engaged in a fruitful and friendly exchange regarding the development and planning of new energy vehicles in Türkiye, with a shared commitment to driving green and low-carbon mobility.

Accompanied by Yin, Kacir and his delegation visited Omoda’s technology exhibition hall and production base. They thoroughly familiarised themselves with the advancements of Omoda’s all-electric vehicles in technology research and development, and manufacturing procedures, among others. He also had the opportunity to personally test drive the brand-new electric vehicle model, Omoda E5, at the Longshan Testing Center. Kacir lauded the Omoda E5, acknowledging its cutting-edge new energy technology and fashion contemporary design.

According to reports, the Turkish government plans to reach its peak carbon emissions no later than 2038 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2053. Omoda, with its advanced new energy technology, has revolutionised the mobility paradigm, introducing a more sustainable and efficient approach. This is in perfect alignment with Türkiye’s sustainable development strategy and will catalyse realising Türkiye’s ambitious goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2053.

The UAE and Türkiye both play an important role in Omoda’s global expansion strategy, and the UAE is at the global advanced level in the strategy and development of environmental protection and clean energy. Omoda E5 will also be launched in the UAE in 2024, and a subsidiary will be established by Omoda&Jaecoo. It is believed that with the joint efforts of local partners, Omoda’s strong sales and service ecosystem will inject new energy into the UAE automobile market.
