“The recent developments and the agenda created around a sports club have made it necessary to make a statement. First of all, it is alarming that sufficient official steps have not been taken against these developments that have drawn the attention of football fans and the public in our country. Today, despite the fact that many injustices are taking place openly, the fact that justice remains so helpless is an unprecedented situation in the history of Turkish football.”
Problems in Turkish Football:
- Seeing every means permissible to win both on and off the field;
- Violating fair competition and unfairly gaining financial or sporting advantage for himself;
- Covering up the scandals in which he was the leading actor with various excuses;
- Disregarding legal, moral and ethical values;
- We are faced with an approach that unfairly targets its competitors.
The club in question finds courage in the silence of the relevant authorities while displaying these attitudes. In this context, we would like to draw the attention of the relevant institutions of our state and the TFF, according to the allegations that are ignored and the events that have occurred.
Situations Alleged in Public:
- 1. Doesn’t creating unfair competition by showing low salaries of some players and going beyond spending limits cause tax losses for our state?
- 2. Doesn’t the transfer of a large number of season tickets to a company under the name of corporate sales and selling them to fans at a much higher price violate the conditions of financial restructuring? At the same time, isn’t the fact that the income generated is illegal and results in tax-free income tax evasion and unfair profit making?
- 3. Isn’t it disregarding the laws of our country to covertly put an advertisement of an illegal betting company on a jersey?
Instead of making a defense and explanation regarding the allegations of illegal actions circulating, they are mocking the minds of the people by using the approach of “A wicked thief suppresses the host” and by showing the legal sponsors of many Anatolian clubs along with our club as an example. As always, both our state is being harmed and attempts are being made to harm other clubs.
This mentality, which considers itself untouchable, thinks that it is making everyone look like a fool with its arrogant and superior perspective and the understanding that “Nothing will happen to us anyway”. As Fenerbahçe Sports Club, we call on all relevant individuals and institutions to take action to cleanse Turkish football, which is the right and labor of millions, of these mistakes, to eliminate injustices on and off the field, and to hold every unethical step accountable before the law.

Unfair sports and economic competition should no longer be allowed, and we should not remain silent against further damage to Turkish football.”
