EMİNE ERDOĞAN AND MINISTER ÖZER VISIT TURKMEN-TURKISH SCHOOL IN ASHGABAT
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s spouse Emine Erdoğan and Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer visited the Turkmen-Turkish School in Turkmenistan’s capital city Ashgabat.
Turkmen-Turkish school students greeted Emine Erdoğan with flowers during the visit and gave a short music recital.
Erdoğan gave books brought by the Ministry of National Education to students as a present. Meanwhile, 5 thousand books were donated to the school as a part of “No More Schools Without Libraries” project.
“Content of Ashgabat Turkmen-Turkish School Will be Expanded”
Minister Özer stressed that one of the agreements signed during President Erdoğan’s Turkmenistan visit was about the Turkmen-Turkish School.
“We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding that allows foreign students to enroll in the school and it also provides a new legal frame that allows us to act in cooperation with Turkmenistan and increase the number of students of the school.”
Education in 4 languages
Minister Mahmut Özer stressed that the quality of school which was established in 1993 will be increased adding that, “Turkmen-Turkish school will gradually increase the number of its students and will be successful not only in Turkmenistan but in the entire world with its quality of education.”
34 teachers and 6 administrators are working in the Ashgabat Turkmen-Turkish School which has 442 students. School building belongs to Turkmen Ministry of National Education and students receive Turkish, English, Turkoman and Russian classes in the school.
Turkmenistan’s Minister of National Education Gurbangül Atayeva and spouses of Turkish Ministers Nebahat Özer, Hülya Çavuşoğlu, Şule Akar, Ümmü Eymen Muş, Ahu Pakdemirli, and Nilüfer Karaismailoğlu accompanied Emine Erdoğan and Minister Özer during the visit.
