With the acceleration of events in Syria after the fall of the Ba’athist regime in Damascus, the Turkish occupying state, through its media arms and tools of sedition and corruption, is attempting to sow discord among the components of North and East Syria, which have been known for their cohesion and interconnection for thousands of years. However, these attempts were met with strong unity among the components, which reaffirmed their commitment to national unity and their rejection of all forms of division.

The dangers of division and the plans of the Turkish occupation

In this context, Jamal Alilwi, who is from the city of Deir ez-Zor and currently resides in the city of Ad-Derbasiya in the Jazira region, pointed out that Syria is going through a difficult transitional phase characterized by increasing Turkish occupation interventions and expansionist ambitions.

He said: “The Turkish occupation state exploits the arms of sedition and corruption and launches a media war to create division among the components of North and East Syria, which have been united for thousands of years.” Turkey seeks to revive the Ottoman Caliphate, which the Syrian people suffered under for hundreds of years.

Jamal Aliwi, the father of the martyr Hawzan Jan and the guerrilla Mazlum, affirmed that the Syrian people, with their various components, have historically proven their solidarity in facing occupation, from the Ottoman and French to the mercenaries of ISIS. These components have triumphed thanks to their unity and their rallying around the project of the Syrian Democratic Forces, which is based on the brotherhood of peoples.

SDF is a comprehensive national and political project.

Aliwi emphasized that the Syrian Democratic Forces are not just a military force, but also a comprehensive national and political project that reflects the aspirations of the Syrian people. He added: “SDF has brought together all components under the umbrella of the People’s Brotherhood Project, which is the ideal solution for the future of Syria.” The project calls for the unity of the components while respecting their rights and cultures, and it offers a modern democratic vision for solving the crises in the Middle East.

He explained that the philosophy of leader Abdullah Ocalan, based on a democratic nation and respect for cultural and religious diversity among peoples, forms the foundation for sustainable peace in the Middle East, and that the project of Eastern Confederations reflects an international vision that enhances the interconnectedness between peoples.

Attempts to sow discord and the necessity of resistance

Aliwi confirmed that the Turkish occupation uses unethical methods, saying: “Turkey resorts to sowing discord and intrigues among the components through mercenary groups that bring destruction wherever they go.” These attempts aim to destabilize the region and bring about demographic changes that serve its expansionist ambitions.

He called on all components in North and East Syria to adhere to their unity, saying: “We have always lived as brothers and neighbors in all circumstances, and today we must confront the special war attacks that target our social fabric.”

A call for solidarity and the spirit of resistance

Jamal Aliwi concluded his speech with a clear call for all components to unite and rally around the Syrian Democratic Forces. He said, “We must not be drawn into sedition and media attacks.” We must embody the spirit of the revolutionary people’s war because it is the foundation of victory. We have sacrificed thousands of martyrs to protect the homeland, and we will not retreat an inch from our lands. Our only option is resistance until victory is achieved and we live with dignity on our land.

He affirmed that the project of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Brotherhood of Peoples will remain the cornerstone for building the future of Syria as a democratic, pluralistic state that respects the rights of all its components.
