AMAC Aerospace has acquired additional land that will enable it to further expand its services and capabilities at its facility in Bodrum, Turkey (BJV).

Through a process of tendering, AMAC Aerospace worked with the General Directorate of State Airport authorities to secure more land, with up to 32,000m² of space to house wide-body hangars, admin and technical support facilities.

Construction plans are being drawn up and work on the new facilities will start immediately. Hangars, offices, refurbished aprons, infrastructure for working areas and technical shops are all planned to be housed in one location, as a one-stop shop. Present capabilities cover maintenance for both airline and business aviation customers. The construction phase will take approximately two years to complete, with full operations expected to start in 2026.

“AMAC Aerospace are delighted to have been awarded this land by Bodrum/Milas Airport authorities and we thank the General Directorate of State Airport authorities to have granted this allowance to us, which will reflect in strong social and economic benefits to the Bodrum area,” said Kadri Muhiddin, group executive chairman and CEO at AMAC Aerospace.

“With the new land acquisition we will have more opportunities to serve more clients in the world of maintenance and for this region,” said Mustafa Yilmaz, AMAC Aerospace’s general manager for Bodrum. “We look forward to expanding ‘Swiss excellence in aviation’ to AMAC Aerospace Turkey.”
