Each transformer weighed 354 tonnes, while each shunt reactor weighed in at 135 tonnes. In total, more than 3,250 freight tons of cargo was delivered.
Due to a lack of available storage at the manufacturer’s factory, COLI’s Istanbul team designed a warehouse solution with appropriate ground bearing capacity and route accessibility so that deliveries to and from the facility were safe.
140 hydraulic axle lines, a girder bridge configuration, 20 SPMT axle lines, a 1,000-tonne gantry crane, and over 70 trailers were just some of the equipment used within this project.
COLI’s logistics arrangement ensured that all relevant permit applications and road protocols were adhered to, whilst also ensuring that the challenges of getting the cargoes from the factory to the port of loading were minimised. The cargoes were all safely stowed aboard the outbound vessel over the course of four days.
In August 2024, HLPFI reported that COLI Logistics had assisted in the transport of four 33-tonne shafts from the USA to Denmark.
