🏀 Boys Basketball
At New Berlin
JACKSONVILLE ROUTT 34, NEW BERLIN 29: Bryson Mossman and Eli Olson each converted a key 3-pointer on a kickout assist in the third quarter, and the Rockets withstood a late rally to win the Gene Bergschneider Turkey Tournament at the Pretzel Dome.
Adam Abell found Mossman open in the corner to regain a two-possession lead before Brady Turner assisted Olson in the waning seconds of the third for a 28-17 advantage.
The Pretzels pared the deficit 32-29 with under two minutes left, but Mossman cemented the win with a steal down the stretch.
Abell scored a game-high 10 points, while Mossman had seven of his nine points in the pivotal third period. Olson hit two 3s for six points. Both Abell and Mossman were named to the all-tournament team.
Griffin Fuchs led the Pretzels with eight points.
In other action, Concord Triopia downed South County 49-42 for third place. Raymond Lincolnwood dispatched Macon Meridian 54-39, while North Mac defeated Lutheran 61-52.

At Rockford Auburn
Soriano Hayes made 7 of 10 shots and scored a game-high 16 points as Lanphier defeated Frederick Douglass (TN) 55-32 and finished the Fred VanVleet Classic as champions with a 4-0 record.
Shaun Hatchett Jr and Amari Anderson rung up 10 points apiece and JaiQuan Holman added nine. The Lions led 16-6 after one period and 25-18 at halftime before blowing the game open by outscoring Douglass 22-5 in the third.
Lanphier started Saturday with a 64-40 win over Chicago Morgan Park. Holman drained three 3-pointers and led with 16 points. Anderson had two 3s and scored 12 points and Hatchett was a perfect 5-for-5 from the floor and contributed 10.
At Lincoln
Karson Komnick scored a team-high 24 points and Lincoln outscored Belleville Althoff 7-4 in overtime to record a 59-56 win in the third-place game at the Lincoln Eaton Tournament at Roy S. Anderson Gym.
Komnick was 8-for-10 from the floor, including 3-for-4 from 3-point range, and made 5 of 6 free throws. Drew Hayes netted 15 points and Brady Miller went 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and added 12 for Lincoln (3-1).
Bryden Gryzmala connected on six 3-pointers and had a game-high 28 points for Belleville Althoff.
In the fifth-place game, Belleville West overcame an 18-point deficit and made the go-ahead basket with 1 second remaining in overtime to defeat Springfield High 55-54.
Springfield led by 18 points in the second period and took a 27-15 lead into intermission. But Belleville West outscored the Senators 23-6 in the third period to pull ahead 38-33 after three quarters.
Springfield, which trailed by as many as nine points in the fourth, came back and the game went into overtime tied 47-47.
Valor Komolafe led the Senators (1-3) with 14 points and Elijah Wade had 11 points and nine rebounds. Noah Wade recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds and Jaiyden Wilson added 10 points.
Mount Zion (4-0) went undefeated and won the tournament with a 67-42 win over Champaign Centennial.
At Decatur
Zion Lee led four Sacred Heart-Griffin players in double figures with 18 points and the Cyclones won the consolation championship with a 70-61 win over Decatur Eisenhower at the Decatur Thanksgiving Tournament.
SHG bolted to a 22-9 lead after one quarter and Cam Brinkman made a pair of 3-pointers in the second quarter to help the Cyclones take a 42-28 lead at halftime. Brinkman finished with 16 points and Tereik Hurd was 7-for-11 from the floor, scoring 14 points. Myles Montgomery chipped in 11 points.
SHG, which got to the consolation title game after a 69-33 victory over Southeast in the semifinals on Friday, improved to 2-1.
At Jacksonville
Gavin Simmons and Cameron Appenzeller helped Chatham Glenwood overcome a two-point halftime deficit and the Titans defeated host Jacksonville 52-35 at the Crimson Classic at The Bowl.
Simmons, who finished with four 3-pointers, had 16 of his game-high 22 points in the second half. Appenzeller had 10 points at the half and ended with 17. Amaree Burries made three 3s and led Jacksonville (1-2) with 12 points.
Chatham Glenwood, which completed the tournament with a 2-1 record, was outscored 8-5 in overtime and lost to West Hancock 46-43 in the morning session.
Jonathan Helm led Glenwood (2-2 overall) with 18 points and Appenzeller had 11 of his 13 points in the second half and overtime.
Also in the morning, Jacksonville suffered a 62-42 defeat to Marion. Burries led the Crimsons with 13 points and Ryan McCombs and Masen Johnson added 11 points apiece in the loss. Kaden Rogowski dropped a game-high 26 points with three 3-pointers for Marion.
Marion concluded the tournament 1-2 after a 53-48 loss to West Hancock, which posted a 2-1 record in tournament play.
At Mount Pulaski
Cooper Carter and Clayton Kessler combined for 17 points in the torrid first quarter and the Trojans romped to a 69-37 win over Clinton in the Bills Rucks tournament championship game.
Carter scored 10 of his game-high 26 points in the opening frame and drained three 3-pointers. Kessler totaled 21 points.
In the third-place game, Edinburg nicked Mount Pulaski 72-70. Litchfield’s Nate Schaake scored a game-high 15 points and the Purple Panthers defeated Buffalo Tri-City 46-33. Mason City Illini Central won 64-45 over Delavan.
Elsewhere
Ian Keller, Nokomis: The forward scored 11 of his game-high 16 points in the second half and Nokomis rallied from a five-point halftime deficit to defeat Georgetown Ridge Farm 48-39 in the championship game at the Neoga Tournament. Keller made four field goals, went 6-for-6 from the foul line and scored 14 points in a 39-20 victory over Neoga in an earlier game.
Landon Oatman/Bradyn Willing, Havana: The duo each hit three 3-pointers in a 61-51 loss to Canton in the Fulton County championship game. Oatman led the Ducks with 12 points.
Matthew Bywater, Mount Olive: Bywater finished with 16 points and 13 rebounds in Mount Olive’s 66-36 loss to Mulberry Grove at the Mulberry Grove Turkey Tournament.
Bennett Fretueg/Carter Fretueg, Rushville-Industry: Bennett supplied 18 points while Carter had 14 to end the Beardstown tournament with a 44-30 win over the host Tigers for fifth place.
Nathan Matoush, Hillsboro: The senior guard made two 3-pointers and scored 11 points in each half for a game-high 22 in Hillsboro’s 64-44 loss to Carlyle on the opening night of the Kaskaskian Tournament.
🏀 Girls Basketball
Anna Weber/Bailey Leach, Pleasant Plains: The junior forward made 11 baskets and scored a game-high 22 points as the Cardinals drubbed Peoria High 59-4. Leach had a team-high 12 points in a 48-43 loss to Alton in a neutral sight contest at Dunlap.
Kate Stambaugh/Devin Vogler, Rushville-Industry: Stambaugh (two 3-pointers) and Vogler finished with 10 points apiece as the Rockets were beaten 44-37 by Mendon Unity in the seventh-place game at the Lady Hornet Classic.
Kylynn Maltby, Beardstown: She made two 3-pointers and scored a game-high 16 points, but Pleasant Hill erased a five-point deficit after three quarters and defeated Beardstown 42-39 in the fifth-place game of the Lady Hornet Classic in Mount Sterling.
Amari Vickery/Mia Brawner, Gillespie: The tandem combined for 41 points to lift the Miners past Pana 58-29 at the Pana Tournament. Vickery scored 23 points and Brawner had 18 as both made the all-tournament team.
Taylor Offer, Rochester: She buried three 3-pointers and made 6 of 7 free throws for 23 points in Rochester’s 50-45 loss to Mount Zion in the Taylorville Tournament. Rochester finished the tourney with a 1-4 record.
Aniyah Rhinehouse, Springfield High: The Senators’ leading scorer finished with 11 of her 19 points at the free-throw line as SHS beat Peoria Richwoods 66-46 in the Galesburg Thanksgiving Tournament. Her first nine points all came at the line. Freshman Morgan Leininger added 13 for the Senators. Rhinehouse also had 13 points in Springfield’s 48-39 loss to host Galesburg as SHS played a pair of Saturday games.
Friday, Nov. 29
🏀 Boys Basketball
At Rockford Auburn
Shaun Hatchett Jr. and Soriano Hayes got Lanphier off to a good start to begin the season with a pair of wins at the Fred VanVleet Classic hosted by Rockford Auburn.
Hatchett scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds as the Lions defeated Rockford East 66-54 in the opener. Hayes posted a double-double and Lanphier rolled Chicago Bogan 71-44 in the Lions’ second game.
Lanphier went into halftime with a 27-21 lead over Rockford East and got some breathing room after shooting 61.5% in the third quarter and outscoring the E-Rabs 22-12. Hatchett finished 10-for-19 from the floor and teammate JaiQuan Holman made 8 of 12 shots and scored 19. Amari Anderson followed with 12 points.
Hayes powered Lanphier with 20 points on 8 of 13 shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds against Bogan. Hatchett added 15 points and Holman scored 13. The Lions finished 50% (30-for-60) from the field.
At Lincoln
Springfield High 72, Cahokia 43: The Senators shot 73.3% from the floor in the first half and rolled to their first win at the Lincoln Eaton Tournament.
Springfield (1-2) led 33-13 after one period and 50-26 at intermission.
Elijah Wade led four Springfield players in double figures with a game-high 17 points. Jaiyden Wilson made 7 of 8 field goals and scored 16, while Noah Wade finished with 13 points. Valor Komolafe notched a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
Lincoln 61, Danville 43: Drew Hayes went 3-for-4 from 3-point range and scored 19 points on 8 of 12 shooting and the Railers improved to 2-1 in tournament play.
Karson Komnick chipped in 16 points with three 3s and Gabe Smith had 10 points and six rebounds for the Railers.
At New Berlin
Aydin Littig/Reid Hepperly, New Berlin: Littig and Hepperly helped host Berlin (3-0) advance to the championship game of the Gene Bergschneider Turkey Tournament with a 42-21 win over Concord Triopia. Littig hit three 3-pointers and scored 13 points and Hepperly added 12 for the Pretzels, who plays Jacksonville Routt for the title at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Bryson Mossman, Jacksonville Routt: Mossman nailed three 3-pointers, went 5-for-6 from the free throw line and scored 20 points in Routt’s 48-34 win over South County. Adam Abell added 15 points as Routt improved to 3-0 and advanced to the title game. South County plays Triopia for third place at 6.
Tucker Armentrout, Raymond Lincolnwood: He tallied a game-high 19 points to give Lincolnwood its first tournament win in a 48-38 triumph over North Mac. Jonah Elvidge had 15 points for the Lancers (1-2), who will meet Macon Meridian for fifth place at 4:30.
Parker Cloyd, Lutheran: The senior had 15 of his game-high 19 points in the second half as Lutheran fell to Macon Meridian 75-48 and dropped to 0-3 at New Berlin. Meridian put six players in double figures. Lutheran plays North Mac for seventh place at 3.
At Jacksonville
Amaree Burries, Jacksonville: The senior guard made 15 shots with one 3-pointer and racked up a game-high 35 points as Jacksonville held off West Hancock 64-60 at the Crimson Classic in Jacksonville. Burries had 21 points at halftime.
Jack Kurmann/Cameron Appenzeller, Chatham Glenwood: Kurmann drained five 3-pointers and ended with 15 points, while Appenzeller chipped in 11 as the Titans edged Marion 40-39 at the Crimson Classic.
Elsewhere
Jett Karrick/Griffin McClure, Petersburg PORTA: Karrick had a team-high 14 points and McClure provided three 3-pointers and 11 first-half points in PORTA’s 45-22 win over Camp Point Central in the third-place game at the Pittsfield Tournament. McClure made the all-tournament team.
Carter Hunley/Cooper Carter, Auburn: Hunley and Carter made three 3-pointers apiece and combined for 48 points in Auburn’s 71-37 victory over Edinburg at the Bill Rucks Mount Pulaski Tournament. Hunley finished with 28 and Carter had 20.
Brayden Ronco, Litchfield: The senior guard hit a pair of 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 20 points in Litchfield’s 57-47 victory over Delavan at Mount Pulaski. Keenan Logan added 13 points for the Purple Panthers.
Carter Wexsten, Nokomis: The shooting guard nailed five 3-pointers, including three in the first quarter, and scored a game-high 19 points in Nokomis’ 55-42 victory over Cisne at the Neoga Thanksgiving Tournament. Ian Keller contributed nine of his 10 points in the fourth period for Nokomis.
Zion Lee, Sacred Heart-Griffin: The sophomore went 8-for-8 at the free-throw line and scored a game-high 20 points to help punch the Cyclones’ ticket into the 54th annual Decatur Turkey Tournament consolation finals with a 69-33 win over Southeast. Lee was 6-for-10 from the field and hauled in a team-best eight rebounds. Terrion Wallace and Cam Brinkman both provided SHG (1-1) with nine points apiece. Josiah Turner led Southeast (0-2) with eight points.
🏀 Girls Basketball
Alaina Stock/Taylor Offer, Rochester: Stock and Offer combined for six 3-pointers and 36 points as Rochester controlled Jacksonville 65-20 at the Taylorville Tournament. Stock had four 3s and 19 points and Offer scored 17 with two treys.
Mia Brawner/Amari Vickery, Gillespie: Brawner (16 points) and Vickery (14 points) combined for 30 points and Gillespie defeated Mattoon 46-26 at the Pana Tournament.
Camila Salazar/Latitia Kanda, Beardstown: Salazar led the Tigers with 17 points and Kanda added 16 in a 60-41 win over Sciota West Prairie at the Lady Hornet Classic. Kylynn Maltby added 12 points in the victory. Beardstown plays Pleasant Hill for fifth place at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Izzy Hassebrock, Sacred Heart-Griffin: The guard scored 16 points in SHG’s 50-45 loss to Washington at the Galesburg Tournament. She led the Cyclones with 13 points as SHG fell to Metamora 52-33 in its second game.
Bailey Leach, Pleasant Plains: Leach made a 3-pointer and scored eight points in Plains’ 41-32 loss at Dunlap in a regular-season game. Anna Weber and Madison Burke also scored eight points apiece in the loss.
Wednesday, Nov. 27
🏀 Girls Basketball
Addison Wheatley, Auburn: The senior manufactured 11 points and eclipsed 1,000 career points in a 67-38 loss to Carrollton in the Waverly Thanksgiving tournament championship game. Lauren Flowers totaled 37 points in the win.
Lauren Bailey, Mount Olive: The junior poured in 29 points, while Ellie Borrowman chalked up a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds in a 48-36 win over Bunker Hill.
Lilly Wake/Angelina Ippolito, Kincaid South Fork: Wake and Ippolito combined for 30 points in Kincaid’s 53-37 loss to Concord Triopia in the third-place game at Waverly. Wake finished with four 3-pointers and 16 points, including 11 in the first quarter, and Ippolito added 14.

SHG, Southeast fall in Decatur openers
DECATUR — Zion Lee had 15 points and 14 rebounds and Myles Montgomery led the Cyclones with 16 points, but Sacred Heart-Griffin fell to Peoria Manual 80-61 in the first round of the Decatur Turkey Tournament on Wednesday at Stephen Decatur Middle School.
The Cyclones will play Southeast in the consolation semifinals on Friday at 2:30 p.m. after the Spartans also lost Wednesday, 67-37, to Decatur MacArthur.
Manual senior Dietrich Richardson, a 6-foot-7 senior guard committed to stay in Peoria to play at Bradley University, led the Rams with 21 points while 6-3 senior Terrance Paige finished with 17.
SHG trailed just 19-18 when Montgomery scored seven straight points late in the first quarter to pull the Cyclones within a point. Montgomery had a corner 3-pointer, a fast-break layup and a steal and another layup in a span of 54 seconds. The Rams outscored SHG by nine the rest of the half to take a 43-33 lead into halftime.
Teriek Hurd and Jamarion Bardwell also added 10 apiece for the Cyclones (0-1).
MACARTHUR 67, SOUTHEAST 37: Easton McGlathery recorded the first field goal for Southeast, but unfortunately for the Spartans, it came with 4 minutes, 44 seconds left in the second quarter. Southeast went the first 11:16 without a bucket, scoring six points at the free-throw line as the Generals raced out to a 21-6 lead.
Southeast’s Mekhi Holmes hit a pair of back-to-back 3-pointers to keep MacArthur within 28-14, but 31 turnovers and poor shooting prevented the Spartans from mounting much of a real challenge in coach Wayne Hamilton’s debut.
Josiah Turner led Southeast (0-1) with 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Holmes had eight.
Sean Lee led MacArthur with 21 points on 8-for-14 shooting.
Overall, Southeast was 9 of 32 from the field and 16-for-24 at the free-throw line.

Karson Kimnick/Gabe Smith, Lincoln: Kimnick tallied 15 points, and Smith scored 12 as Lincoln defeated Belleville West 37-33 at the Lincoln Eaton Tournament. The Railers led 23-11 at halftime.
Griffin McClure/Jett Karrick, Petersburg PORTA: The duo combined for 25 points in a 57-55 win over Liberty. McClure delivered nine of his team-best 13 points in the first half. Karrick scored all of his 12 points after the break.
Cory Banister/Carson Wort, Pawnee: Banister summoned 10 points in the first quarter and totaled a game-high 23 points in a 75-65 win over Gillespie. Wort went 9 of 15 from the free throw line and finished with 22 points.
Reid Hepperly/Aydin Littig, New Berlin: The duo combined for 33 points in a 45-38 win over Macon Meridian. Hepperly scored 17 and the Pretzels improved to 2-0 at the Gene Bergschneider Turkey Tournament in New Berlin.
Caden Colwell/Owen Paluska, South County: Colwell hit two 3s and finished with a team-high 16 points, while Paluska had 12 points in a 45-43 win over Raymond Lincolnwood at the Gene Bergschneider Turkey Tournament in New Berlin.
Adam Abell, Jacksonville Routt: In the Gene Bergschneider Turkey Tournament at New Berlin, Adam Abell had 12 points to lead the Rockets to a 36-31 win over North Mac. The 6-foot-6 junior center had four points in the first quarter and eight in the second half to keep the Panthers at bay. Junior Bryson Mossman added seven points for Routt.
Collin Etter, North Mac: The Panthers’ sophomore had 12 points and went 4-for-4 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter as North Mac outscored Jacksonville Routt by seven to close it to a 36-31 final in the Gene Bergschneider Turkey Tournament.
Elijah Wade, Springfield High: The guard finished with 14 points and six rebounds in Springfield’s 59-46 loss to Mount Zion at the Lincoln Tournament. Lyncoln Koester exploded for 32 points on 13 of 29 shooting for Mount Zion.
Carter Hunley, Auburn: The Trojans got a game-high 23 points from the senior guard en route to an 84-47 win over Delavan in the Bill Rucks Tournament on Wednesday. The Trojans (2-0) also got 17 points from Cooper Carter, 16 from Clayton Kessler and 10 from Ryan Lash.
Brayden Enslow, Gillespie: Enslow generated a team-best 19 points in the loss to Pawnee.
Carter Wexstenn, Nokomis: Wexstenn provided seven points in a 51-22 loss to Greenville.
Tuesday, Nov. 26
🏀 Girls Basketball
SOUTHEAST 73, LANPHIER 48: Southeast’s defense triggered a series of layups and ultimately a 16-0 run in the third quarter en route to a nonconference win.
Junior guard Zaria West scored 17 of her game-high 20 points in the third frame, largely on layups or free throws. The Spartans (4-0) trailed 26-24 at halftime before taking a 55-37 lead into the fourth quarter.
Junior guard Naveahua Collier supplied 11 points, while senior guard Chloe Crawford scored eight of her 10 points in the fourth after dealing with early foul trouble. Junior teammate Corrine Pickett jumpstarted the onslaught with the team’s first 3-pointer of the game before the defense took over.
Aubrey Beavers led Lanphier (2-1) with 15 points, while Lovely Jackson added 13.

At Waverly
Callie Wagner/Jenna McGath, South County: Wagner tallied 14 points and McGath finished with 12 as the Vipers defeated North Mac 59-39 in the fifth-place game of the tournament.
Chloe Law/McKenna Harmon, Litchfield: Law delivered all 11 of her points in the first half and Harmon finished with 10 as Litchfield defeated White Hall North Greene 49-21 in the seventh-place game.
Elsewhere
Isabella Tiburzi, Carlinville: The senior scored her 1,000th-point while making five baskets and going 7-for-10 from the foul line to finish with 17 points in a 59-29 win at Greenfield. Jordyn Loveless scored 12 points and Kaitlyn Reels (three 3-pointers) and Ruthie Reels (two 3s) added 10 apiece as Carlinville put four players in double figures.
Alyson Murphy, Mount Pulaski: The junior guard racked up 26 points in a 59-37 win over Pawnee. Elayna Marten and Addison Brown added 13 and 10 points, respectively.
Megan Hughes, Mason City Illini Central: The junior provided 14 points in a 53-39 loss to Heyworth.
Carson Arthalony, Petersburg PORTA: The senior chalked up 11 points with one 3-pointer, while junior teammate Aubrey Vogel had 10 in a 40-31 win over Winchester West Central. Allison Vogel and Cassie Cox each had six.

Elijah Wade, Springfield High: The guard went 12-for-19 from the field and scored a game-high 26 points to go with nine rebounds, but Luke Smith’s 3-pointer with 4 seconds remaining gave Belleville Althoff a 69-67 win. Valor Komolafe had 16 points on 8-for-12 shooting for Springfield.
At New Berlin
Caden Colwell, South County: The junior dropped in all of his 15 points in the second and third quarters and helped the Vipers to a 45-29 win over North Mac at the Gene Bergschneider Turkey Tournament. Owen Paluska had 11 points for South County.
Bryson Mossman, Jacksonville Routt: The junior guard surpassed 1,000 career points in a 41-33 win over Raymond Lincolnwood in the Gene Bergschneider Turkey Tournament.
At Havana
Jack Turner/Landon Oatman, Havana: Turner scored a game-high 15 points and Oatman nailed two 3-pointers and added 14 to pace Havana to a 62-40 win over South Fulton at the Fulton County tournament.
At Cerro Gordo
Julian Rice/Carter Miller, Riverton: Rice led the Hawks with 21 points and Miller provided 17 in a 66-49 victory over Argenta-Oreana.
Elsewhere
Luke Blackford, Calvary: The junior forward poured in 41 points and Calvary defeated Madison 74-67 in a season-opening game. Blackford came just one point shy of tying his career high of 42 points that he scored last season. Antoine Hunter and Joshua Long chipped in 12 points apiece for Calvary.
Cooper Schallenberg/Trager Shultz, Pleasant Plains: Schallenberg and Shultz combined for eight 3-pointers and 35 points as Plains opened its season with a 53-45 win at Monticello. Schallenberg went 5-for-10 from 3-point range and scored a game-high 19 points, while Shultz was 3-for-6 from long distance and had 16. Plains finished with 13 3s and now holds the record for 3-pointers made in a game at the Sievers Center.
Eli Cox, Rochester: The sophomore sank two 3-pointers and scored 10 of his 19 points in the second quarter to lead the visiting Rockets past Hillsboro 63-32 in the season-opener.
Tate Duckels, Carlinville: The junior netted a team-high 16 points in Carlinville’s 51-41 victory home win over White Hall North Greene. Dom Alepra and Sawyer Smith contributed 12 points each in the win.
Mason Marshall, Chatham Glenwood: The senior guard pitched in nine points in a 29-28 loss to Urbana.
Griffin McClure, Petersburg PORTA: The senior guard contributed 20 points and four assists in a 59-50 win over Payson-Seymour in the Pittsfield Turkey Tournament. Levi Hoagland had eight points and 12 rebounds.
Cooper Carter, Auburn: The Trojans’ senior guard hit two 3-pointers and finished with 12 points through three quarters in Auburn’s 55-40 win over Litchfield to open the Bill Rucks Tournament. Carter Hunley led the way for Auburn with 16 points, including three 3s. Junior Jacob Barth also connected on a pair of 3s and finished with eight points.

Gabe Smith/Drew Hayes, Lincoln: Smith led the Railsplitters with 16 points in a 48-44 loss to Champaign Centennial to open the Eaton tournament. Hayes added 14 points. Sherrod Clark paced the Chargers with 25 points, shooting 7 of 14 from 3-point range.
At Havana
Bradyn Willing, Havana: The junior drained three 3-pointers and led the Ducks with 19 points in a 65-41 victory over Farmington to begin the Fulton County tournament. Owen Smith and Paxton Olson added 15 and 13 points, respectively.

Bennett Fretueg, Rushville-Industry: Fretueg and Chase Bickerman each scored nine points in a 58-43 loss to Winchester West Central at the Beardstown Tournament.
Finn Swinger/Treyton Davis, Edinburg: Swinger hit three 3-pointers and led the Wildcats with 17 points in a 62-47 win over Litchfield. Davis pitched in 15 points.
Nate Schaake, Litchfield: The senior tallied 15 points in the loss to Edinburg.
Donavyn Riley, Buffalo Tri-City: Riley generated 10 points in a 58-42 loss to Clinton in the Bill Rucks tournament hosted by Mount Pulaski.

Addison Wheatley, Auburn: The senior delivered 15 points, including eight in the third quarter en route to a 41-28 win over South County. Reese Megginson added 10 points and the Trojans (4-0) will advance to Wednesday’s championship game against Carrollton, which dispatched North Mac 72-28 behind 33 points from Lauren Flowers.
Angelina Ippolito, Kincaid South Fork: The junior guard totaled 22 points in a 50-26 win over White Hall North Greene in the consolation bracket.

Lovely Jackson/Amiyah Jarrett, Lanphier: Each scored 12 points in a 44-19 win over Riverton.
Anna Weber/Grace Sabatka, Pleasant Plains: The duo combined for 11 of the team’s 15 points in the first quarter en route to a 54-34 win over Carlinville. Weber led the Cardinals with 17 points, while Sabatka drained two 3s and finished with 14 points. Bailey Leach also hit two treys and ended with 11 points.
Isabella Tiburzi, Carlinville: The senior led the Cavaliers with 18 points in the loss to Pleasant Plains.
