NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will visit Ankara next week for high-level discussions with Turkish officials, the alliance announced in a press release on Friday.

Scheduled for Monday, Rutte’s visit will include meetings with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and Defense Minister Yasar Guler.

His agenda also features interactions with representatives of Türkiye’s defense industry and a tour of the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) facilities.

Additionally, Rutte is set to lay a wreath at Anitkabir, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of modern Türkiye.

This will be Rutte’s first official visit to Ankara since assuming the position of NATO secretary general.
