During his speech at the forum’s opening, Choriev highlighted the progress of high-speed rail initiatives in Uzbekistan, including the ambitious project to establish a dedicated high-speed passenger railway line between Tashkent and Samarkand. This project is part of the broader effort to modernize and expand the nation’s rail network, improving efficiency and passenger experience.

The forum also hosted a productive meeting with Zeynep Ulas, Head of the Public-Private Partnership Projects Department at Turkey’s Ministry of Economy and Finance.

The meeting focused on the financing procedures for several high-speed railway projects in Turkey, including the Ankara-Izmir, Bandirma-Bursa-Yenishehir-Osmanli, Mersin-Gaziantep, and Erksoy-Kaysari lines. These projects, which involve foreign financial institutions, were discussed in detail as part of the forum’s collaborative agenda.

Additionally, Choriev met with Erdal Eren, President of the Turkish Contractors Association, and key representatives from leading Turkish construction companies. During this session, the Tashkent-Samarkand high-speed railway project was introduced to Turkish companies, with an emphasis on potential cooperation and joint ventures.
