Speaking at Teknofest in Adana, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized the festival’s role in inspiring young people to engage with cutting-edge technology and innovation.
He highlighted the country’s notable technological achievements at the event, emphasizing the importance of envisioning the future. Erdogan also noted Türkiye’s progress in the defense industry, pointing out that the nation has become an exporter of defense products to countries that previously declined to sell to Türkiye.
He described the country’s technological breakthrough by stating, “We are not the same country we were 22 years ago,” and noted that the share of national production in the defense industry has risen to 80%.
Turning to Israel’s aggression in Gaza and Lebanon, President Erdogan emphasized that Israel does not want a cease-fire and accused the country of seeking to ignite a regional war.
He condemned Israel’s actions as a violation of international law and criticized Israel’s decision to declare U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres as persona non grata.
President Erdogan further stressed that countries supplying arms to Israel are complicit in its actions.
