Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Istanbul, the added 2.37%.

The best performers of the session on the were Oba Makarnacilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:), which rose 10.00% or 3.26 points to trade at 35.86 at the close. Meanwhile, Anadolu Anonim Turk Sigorta Sti (IS:) added 7.26% or 5.55 points to end at 81.95 and Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:) was up 7.06% or 13.10 points to 198.60 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Papilon Savunma Guvenlik Sistemleri (IS:), which fell 3.00% or 2.45 points to trade at 79.30 at the close. Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS ORD (IS:) declined 2.99% or 2.60 points to end at 84.35 and Altinay Savunma Teknolojileri AS (IS:) was down 2.20% or 2.10 points to 93.15.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 407 to 145 and 27 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.10% or 2.70 to $2,676.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.77% or 0.57 to hit $74.28 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.67% or 0.52 to trade at $78.14 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.41% to 34.25, while EUR/TRY fell 0.34% to 37.55.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 102.32.
