Tim Pearson, a senior adviser to Mayor Eric Adams, is resigning, City Hall said Monday night.

In a letter obtained by NY1, Pearson, a senior adviser for public safety and COVID recovery, said he wants to focus on “family, self care and new endeavors.”

His last day is Friday, according to the letter.

The New York Times first reported Pearson’s resignation.

“Tim has had a long career in both the public and private sectors, where he has spent over 30 years keeping New Yorkers safe. We appreciate Tim’s decades of service to this city and wish him well,” Adams wrote in a statement.

Pearson is the fifth senior member of mayor’s administration to announce they are leaving in the last three weeks.

His resignation comes about a month after sources said a search warrant was executed on him.

It also comes less than one week after the mayor was indicted on corruption charges.
