TÜRKIYE. Avolta has relaunched its successful ‘I Love Antalya’ campaign, which celebrates local culture and creativity

The campaign, first held in 2023 with great success, is being hosted across Antalya Airport terminals 1 and 2.

It invites travellers to experience the beauty and rich heritage of the Mediterranean within the airport’s duty-free stores.

The campaign brings to life the spirit of the Antalya city and region through vibrant and culturally relevant visuals, events and a curated collection of locally inspired products.

The promotion, whose 2023 iteration is currently shortlisted for ‘Retailer Campaign of the Year’ at the Frontier Awards to be held during TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes next week (1 October), has been built on an admiration and respect for Antalya’s rich history and colourful traditions.

In particular, I Love Antalya celebrates Yörük culture, which has shaped the region’s history.

Within the design-creation process, each detail has been carefully curated from the vibrant Mediterranean colour palette to the Yörük-inspired designs, weaving together past and present in a way designed to feel both nostalgic and fresh.

The campaign begins outside the terminals and builds impetus inside

The campaign incorporates patterns from traditional Anatolian rugs, tapping into a broader appreciation for handcrafted designs while honouring the local heritage.

This blend of tradition and modernity aims to resonate with both local and international travellers.

The campaign encourages them to explore and engage with Antalya’s culture through local product displays inspired by the figure of the tree of life, providing communication between the earth and the sky.

Travellers can browse a range of items such as Turkish coffee cups, souvenirs and textiles that celebrate Antalya’s heritage.

In addition, live DJ performances, folkloric dance shows and tastings of delicious local foods create a vibrant atmosphere in the terminals.

Avolta Southern Europe CEO Isabel Zarza commented: “The I Love Antalya campaign is a wonderful evocation of Antalya and Türkiye, showcasing the region’s craft and culture, history and heritage, tastes and traditions.

“In line with Avolta’s Destination 2027 strategy, we are committed to offer a tangible sense of place and culture to travellers.

“Our partner Fraport TAV Antalya Airport worked in close collaboration with us to really help amplify the campaign and bring its various elements to life and we’ve been delighted with the positive customer reaction we’ve received so far.” ✈
