Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen will miss his team’s Turkish Super Lig match against Gaziantep FK on Tuesday evening.
Galatasaray confirmed this in a statement posted on their website on Monday.
Okan Buruk’s side announced that Osimhen, Ismail Jakobs, and Roland Sallai would miss the encounter against RAMS Park.
“Victor Osimhen, Ismail Jakobs and Roland Sallai, who were transferred after the postponement date, will not be in the squad due to the status,” the statement partly reads.
The match was scheduled for the third match day but it was postponed, and Osimhen, along with Jakobs and Sallai, were unregistered at the time, making them unable to play.
Osimhen will have to wait for his next appearance for Galatasaray, after making his debut against Çaykur Rizespor last weekend.
Osimhen, 25, will face his first big test in the Süper Lig next weekend when Fenerbahçe meet Galatasaray at Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium.
