Fethiye, a popular tourist destination in Türkiye, is experiencing a prosperous tourism season this September.

Reports indicate that hotels and motels in the Ölüdeniz region are reaching near full capacity, with almost 100% occupancy rates. Tourism professionals are optimistic that this trend will continue through October, maintaining the strong momentum.

Adding to the excitement, the renowned British newspaper The Times ranked Fethiye third on its list of the “11 of the best places for a beach holiday in October.” The publication referred to Fethiye as the “Turkish Riviera” and highlighted it as an ideal destination for families, further boosting expectations for tourism in the coming months.

The popularity of Fethiye and Ölüdeniz is not limited to September. Local holidaymakers and international tourists alike are flocking to Kumburnu and Belcekız beaches, soaking up the September sun and enjoying the turquoise waves. The stunning waters, sometimes rising taller than a person, create perfect moments for beachgoers to dance with the waves. Paragliders from Babadağ add to the visual spectacle, decorating the sky like butterflies and offering tourists an unforgettable experience, often captured and shared on social media to further promote the region.

Muhammet Kökten, Director of the Ölüdeniz Tourism Development Cooperative Balkans, shared his enthusiasm about the booming season: “September has been as fruitful as we expected. Our hotels in Ölüdeniz are reaching 100% occupancy, which is a great sign for Turkish tourism and our region. We anticipate a similar trend in October. The recognition from The Times has brought us optimism for the future, and we are seeing the impact of our digital promotions. Ölüdeniz is a must-see destination for both local and international visitors, and we welcome everyone to experience its beauty.”

As the warm weather continues into October, Fethiye is set to remain a hotspot for vacationers seeking sun, sea, and unforgettable experiences.
