Asia Fruit Logistica, the largest fresh fruit and vegetable fair for the Asian market, was held with great participation this year. Aegean Exporters’ Associations Coordinator Vice President and Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association Board Chairman Hayrettin Uçak emphasized the importance of the fair and said, “We are accelerating our promotional activities for Far East and Southeast Asian countries in line with our Asian Century Strategy.”
Uçak said, “While 14 Turkish companies participated in the Asia Fruit Logistica Fair organized by the Mediterranean Exporters’ Associations, a national participation organization, a total of 37 companies from 750 countries took part. As in every year, this year too, the fair hosted over 20 thousand visitors, mainly from Asian countries. Many importers, especially from countries such as China and India, visited our stand.”
Providing information about exports to Hong Kong as of 2023, Uçak said, “We exported 7 million dollars to Hong Kong this year. Fresh fruits and vegetables constitute 75 percent of our exports. Fresh black figs, in particular, rank first among the products we export the most with 2,6 million dollars of exports. In the January-September period of 2024, we exported 5 million dollars to Hong Kong.”
Uçak also concluded his words by saying, “Our Hong Kong Trade Counselor Mr. Dinçer Tatlıoğlu and Hong Kong Consul General Mr. Kerim Sercan Evcin visited our stand. We continue our work successfully with fairs, UR-GE projects and sectoral trade delegations. Far East and Southeast Asia are extremely important markets for the fresh fruit and vegetable sector. We had a really productive fair.”
Aegean Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Exporters’ Association Board of Directors Vice Chairman Cengiz Balık and Board Member Hüseyin Vural Güleç also attended the fair.
