A new holiday hotspot has emerged, with travel gurus pointing to a stunning stretch of the Turkish coast as the ultimate destination for an affordable, last-minute beach getaway.

As the chill of autumn creeps in, sun-seekers are on the hunt for one final dose of vitamin D before winter sets in, and it seems the Mediterranean haven of Antalya is the place to be, says Travel Supermarket. The comparison website has put together its “Best Bargain Beach Breaks” list, taking into account factors such as the average cost of a week-long stay and daily expenses like beach loungers and a pint at the seaside bar.

Antalya, Turkey, has been crowned the winner, boasting budget-friendly prices, balmy September climes, and picturesque views that make it a prime choice for a beach holiday, the Mirror reports. Travel Supermarket has unearthed deals where vacationers can snap up a seven-night room-only package, complete with daily sun lounger access and a refreshing beer – all for a mere £422.

Basking in year-round sunshine, Antalya is particularly appealing during September and October when temperatures soar to a sizzling 30C and the sea remains invitingly warm, perfect for those who love a dip in the Mediterranean.

Nipping at Antalya’s heels on the Travel Supermarket roster is another Turkish delight, Dalaman, offering equally impressive value with the same package priced at just £426, as per the list.

Further along Turkey’s coast from Anatalya, Dalaman is renowned for its breathtaking beaches, crystal-clear waters, and rich cultural heritage. Greece came in third on the list with a £50 increase in price compared to Turkey’s holiday deals, but still a reasonable £475 per person for its best-value offerings, according to the Sun

Spanish destinations Fuerteventura and Costa Blanca took fourth and fifth place respectively, with a week-long package deal costing travellers an average of £488 or £501. The popular holiday island of Crete ranked sixth with an average price of £518.75, narrowly outdoing Bourgas in Bulgaria, where a week-long beach break costs 3p more on average at £518.78.

Lanzarote took eighth place with an average price of £520, while ninth and tenth places were claimed by Cyprus locations, with packages in Larnaca and Paphos going for £532 and £538 respectively.
