The KJK Coordination issued a statement regarding the murder of Narîn Koran in N. Kurdistan, pointing out that the Turkish regime and its special war policies against the people are responsible for the crime.
The statement read as follows:
“Our grief is indescribable over the murder of Narîn Koran in the Rezzan area of the city of Amed in N. Kurdistan. Our anger and sadness are immense; Narîn is one of the latest victims of this hellish world imposed on the Kurds, women, and the people. The way and method by which Narîn was killed represent a systematic policy of the special war center and the fascist government of the AKP and MHP, which are hostile to women and enforce genocide on the Kurds.”
Narîn has left us a duty and responsibility to confront the policies of societal destruction
The brutal crime stems from the policies of the oppressive regime and the “Turkish Counter-Guerrilla” system and special war apparatus, aimed at combating the path of freedom and awareness led by women in Kurdistan. Through the person of Narîn, the corrupt reality imposed on society through policies of rape, drugs, and prostitution manifested in a merciless killing. This is a savage murder and should not be ignored through routine protests. Narîn has left us a mission and a responsibility to confront the policies of societal destruction, implemented as a policy and system hostile to women and genocidal in nature. We must rise, protest, and strengthen the struggle against them.
Why was Narîn killed, who killed her, and what did she see when she was murdered? This should be viewed as a state policy, and at the same time, everyone seeking answers to these questions and demanding accountability must increase their struggle.
The Kurdish people and Kurdish women know the answers to these questions. Narîn’s eyes bear witness to this degeneration. It is the result of policies aimed at obstructing the free stance of the Kurdish people and the free struggle of women; the free women’s struggle around the world and the noble Kurdish people must reveal what Narîn saw and demand accountability for this network and policy of murder.
In order to reveal Narîn’s killers, the genocidal system must be held accountable
To uncover Narîn’s killers, the truth must first be revealed about Tafshan Tepah (the child’s village). The events are connected to the establishment of bases and centers of semi-military organizations such as ISIS, the Counter-Guerrilla Party (here referring to the unofficial Turkish Hezbollah), and village guards created by the oppressive state.
It is clear that such centers form a crucial station in remote areas shared between the state, Hüda-Par, ISIS, and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP). This center is one of the places for supplies, ammunition, and mass graves, where many women were killed. This village represents the genocide of Kurds and women. Therefore, to reveal Narîn’s killers, it is essential to demand accountability for the century-old genocidal system and its special war organization.
What Narîn saw were the mass graves, the weapons of the Counter-Guerrilla Party, rape in Quranic teaching classes, military male violence, and the dirty war tools of the fascist AKP-MHP regime.
The murder of Narîn, her disappearance, and the search for her for 19 days were all intended to divert attention from and erase this forensic evidence. In the end, hostility toward the Kurds condemned Turkish society to decay. This system that imposes destruction and degeneration in Turkey, as well as the genocide of women and Kurds, must be rejected.
What happened to this village is part of the 17,000 murders carried out by the oppressive Turkish state in the 1990s to eliminate the women’s and Kurdish people’s struggles through Counter-Guerrilla groups.
The murderous AKP-MHP regime turned the Counter-Guerrilla network into a force for Hüda-Par, giving Hüda-Par space for social and ideological organization in the municipalities it controls, expanding the scope of genocide further. Along with the liquidation attacks imposed on the women’s movement’s achievements, it created mercenary-related organizations in Kurdistan and religious orders and congregations in Turkey.
The Turkish state has demonstrated its hostility toward the Kurdish people and women through racial and gender-based discrimination. Based on the plan to defeat the Kurdish people, ISIS organizations and Turkish state mercenaries launched attacks to eliminate the revolution in Rojava, committing genocide in Şengal, and occupying S. Kurdistan. After these attacks failed, they occupied Afrin, Serê Kaniyê, and Girê Spî with the support received from NATO. With the cooperation of traitorous, collaborating forces, spies, and the counter-guerrilla, the occupation and annexation operations continue politically, militarily, and ideologically on all fronts.
Erdogan’s visit to Erbil, the formalization of the AKP-MHP-Hüda-Par alliance in an official ceremony, and the recent meeting between Masoud Barzani and Hüda-Par leader Zekeriya Yapicioglu, resulting in the pardon of a key ISIS leader imprisoned for six years by the KDP, all indicate that large-scale genocidal attacks against the Kurdish people and Kurdish women will be carried out.
Cooperation and struggle are needed
It is evident that the genocide of women and children in Turkey and Kurdistan is not merely the act of an individual or a feudal concept but an organized policy of a special war. The increase in mass murders, rapes, violations, prostitution, and drug abuse is part of the genocide of women and children.
There must be raised voices and a unified stance and struggle. On this basis, we call on women and our people to expand the struggle to shed light on the murder of Narîn and protect children from this genocidal system.”
