Arda Guler is a doubt for Turkey’s European Championship clash against Portugal on Saturday.
The 19-year-old was the star of his side’s 3-1 victory against Georgia in their opening game, scoring a fantastic goal from long range and earning the player of the match award.
Guler, however, did not participate in training on Thursday, having come off in 79th minute of the game on Tuesday.
Turkey head coach Vincenzo Montella confirmed that the Real Madrid midfielder might not be fit enough to start their second match of the tournament in Dortmund.

Arda Guler: Choir-boy looks, thunderous foot and the hearts of Ancelotti, Montella and Turkey
He said: “Unfortunately, physically, he’s not 100 per cent fit.
“He’s not doing so well, so we will decide whether to field him tomorrow, only at the last minute. I hope to have him.”
Montella did not reveal the specific issue with Guler.
Guler struggled with injuries during his debut season at Madrid but managed to score five goals in the final five league games of the season, mostly after his club had already secured the La Liga title.
He became the youngest Euro debutant to score at the age of 19 years and 114 days with his goal against Georgia, beating the record set by Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo at Euro 2004.
