RAWALPINDI: Turkish Foreign Minister Khaqan Fadan held meeting with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Turkish Foreign Minister Khaqan Fadan discussed matters of mutual interest in a meeting with Army chief General Asim Munir.
In the meeting, the Army Chief and the Turkish Foreign Minister expressed their satisfaction on the relationship between the two countries based on common history, culture and religion.
ISPR further informed that during the meeting, the Turkish Foreign Minister appreciated the role of Pakistan Army for peace and stability in the region.
It should be noted that the Foreign Minister of Turkey has reached Islamabad on a two-day official visit. The Turkish Foreign Minister was warmly welcomed upon his arrival in Pakistan.
During the visit, the Turkish Foreign Minister will meet Prime Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif and will also hold a detailed discussion with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar. It will also be reviewed.
