The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) on Thursday rejected Fenerbahce’s request to postpone the Turkish Super Cup final, saying it would take place on the scheduled day of Sunday.

The Super Cup final will be played on Sunday at Sanliurfa’s April 11 Stadium, as planned, the federation announced in a statement.

“The ticket revenues of the match will be donated for the benefit of our earthquake victims,” the federation said.

Fenerbahce on Thursday submitted a signed application to the TFF to reschedule the Super Cup match, which was originally scheduled for April 7, and to have a foreign referee officiate the match.

The Yellow Canaries have also announced that their U19 team will compete in the upcoming Turkish Super Cup.

The postponed 2023 Turkish Super Cup match, which was originally scheduled for Dec. 29 between defending Super Lig champions Galatasaray and 2022-23 Turkish Cup winners Fenerbahce will take place in Türkiye’s southeastern province of Sanliurfa on Sunday.
