Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani welcomed the President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at Baghdad International Airport this Monday, marking the start of a high-level official delegation visit to Iraq.
Prime Minister’s Media Office stated in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “The ceremony at Baghdad International Airport included playing the national anthems of both countries and featured the inspection of the guard of honor representing the various branches of our armed forces, and a 21 gun salute” .
“Prime Minister Al-Sudani and President Erdoğan will hold official bilateral talks, as well as broader discussions involving government officials and ministers from both sides. The visit will cover discussions on water resources, economics, security, the Development Road project, regional security developments, and the signing of a bilateral strategic framework agreement aimed at expanding economic and trade partnerships, exchanging expertise, and addressing shared environmental and regional challenges” the statement added.
