Spain might be the usual leading hotspot but this year Turkey might be top of the list, according to new research from the travel experts at Bounce.
There were over 100,000 Google searches for Turkey between October and December last year.
A Bounce spokesperson said: “Thanks to the rich history and culture of cities like Istanbul, and the year-round sunny weather and warm beaches of Antalya, Turkey can be crowned the most popular vacation destination for Brits in the new year.”

Thanks to its southern European location, Turkey enjoys temperatures above 20 degrees well into September.
