Demonstrations were held in Iran in support of strikes on Israel
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan spoke with his American and Iranian counterparts last week to discuss the planned Iranian operation.
Iran informed Turkey in advance about the planned operation against Israel, which eventually took place on the night of Sunday, April 14, Reuters reports citing sources among Turkish officials.
Sources of the agency said that the US, in turn, conveyed to Iran through Turkey that any of its actions should be “within certain limits.”
“In response, Iran stated that the reaction will be a response to Israel’s attack on its diplomatic facility in Damascus and that it will not go beyond these limits,” the interlocutor of the agency noted.

In addition, according to a source in Turkey’s national security agency, the head of the CIA, William Burns, spoke with the head of Turkish intelligence, Ibrahim Kalin, and asked him to act as a “mediator” in the settlement of Israeli-Iranian tensions.
They also discussed ceasefire efforts in Gaza, the source said.
The Israel Defense Forces reported that Iran and pro-Iranian forces in the region during the attack on April 13-14 fired more than 300 air targets at Israel, of which about 170 were attack drones, more than 30 were cruise missiles and 120 were ballistic missiles, almost all of them were shot down .
